Holy traditions

Water rituals play a central role in the practice of many religions. Muslims use water to cleanse themselves in preparation for their five daily prayers, there are baptisms and blessings in the Christian tradition, or the mikvah in Judaism, for ritual immersion. We looked around the town for traces of these several locations to document sites of these practices, evidence of the rich multicultural past and common points.
